Sound familiar? Everyone seems to know what's going to happen in the Real Estate market. And if you happen to be in the market, or are thinking about selling, they’re all going to tell you exactly what you should do!
“You know, If I was you blah blah blah…!” Uhm, thanks Uncle Jim, I’ll keep that in mind.
But the fact of the matter is that no one really knows what’s going to happen. Even the experts, the folks who get paid to figure this stuff out, get it right only every once in a while. Remember when we were told that the Real Estate market was going to go belly up back at the beginning of the pandemic? Well, it turned out to be the exact opposite. Due to historically low interest rates and the worldwide move to work from home, the market took off like a rocket! Buyer’s flooded the market and sellers sprouted up as far as the eye could see.
So what’s a buyer or seller supposed to do in a market like this? Or any market for that matter. Who should they trust? What should they believe? Well, for starters, it’s not only a good idea, but pretty imperative that you work with a knowledgeable, licensed Realtor, like me for instance. A Realtor who’s been in the business for two decades (like me). A Realtor who has managed hundreds of other Realtors and helped them become better Realtors (I did that). And of course, a Realtor who makes you feel heard, respected, and taken care of (like me).
But just as important, if not more, is what is going to work best for you and your family, right now, this very moment? What is your personal situation, your own “economy”? Do you have stable income and savings? Do you need to be near a certain job, or school district? Did you find your absolute dream house? Do you have to move because you’re being transferred? These are the things you should be thinking about. The bottom line is, if you have a “WHY”, then you should talk to a Realtor (not your cousin’s uncle’s best friend) to discuss the “HOW”...
